“Our Story Continues”

“Our Story Continues” is a capital campaign to construct a gathering space and family life center with kitchen for expansion of ministries. 

The gathering space provides ample room for fellowship before and after services and is also a great welcome area for our guests.  The family life center and kitchen has opened many doors for us to share Jesus in various ways.  “God’s people will also be equipped for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up.” (Eph. 4:12).

On March 29th, 2014 our leadership here at HBCC, which includes our Deacons, Elders, Minister and our Capital Campaign committee members, committed $85,050 to the “Our Story Continues” campaign.  On March 30th, 2014, our HBCC kids also donated $630.66 through collecting change over a few months in their hand-painted “Our Story” jars!

Our Commitment Sunday was Sunday, April 6th, 2014.  The offering and 2 year commitments that were collected totaled $248,616!  It was the largest one-time offering that HBCC has ever seen!  What a might God we serve!

Haw Branch Church of Christ has a blessed heritage of more than 128 years, and we have wonderful hopes for the years ahead. It is exciting to contemplate what the Lord has in store for us!

The goal for us here at HBCC has always been to show the light of Jesus.  We have done this through outreach, evangelism and discipleship.  That challenge still applies to us today and a new challenge for us began here in 2014! We will continue to trust God to provide all of our needs!

Please know that the most important thing you can do is PRAY!  Pray for those who continue to lead the campaign, for those who continue to sacrifice and give their monthly, 2 year commitments, those working to maintain the new building, for unity and vision for all of the believers, but most of all, pray about how God wants to use YOU in the expanded ministries this new building provides. “Our Story Continues”, but the continued success of this campaign will require participation and sacrifice from us all.
